FIRE TAPE WRAP AROUND SEAL

Fire tape Wrap Around Seal (WAS) is used around plastic tubes type PVC, PE and ABS, etc. for water, sewage, central vacuum cleaners and the like that pass through fire cell separating building structures. The tape is cast into the existing building structures with concrete or similar product. The tape can ideally also be used for copper and steel pipes together with Armaflex and cables in bundles.

Tape Wrap Around Seal (WAS) primarily consists of intumescent graphite strips that are protected by a plastic cover. The plastic cover is equipped with double-sided tape at one end for easy assembly during installation. The tape is also available on a 10 metre roll without the protective plastic cover. Wrap Around Seal Strip (WASS) is cut to the required length and is secured with tape during installation. When the tape is attacked by fire or temperatures above 120 °C its intumescent body expands quickly and effectively seals the collapsing plastic tube under high pressure.
In order to ensure the seal against all smoke gases, the gap between the tube and wall/floor should be sealed using FireStop Sealant3000 silicone adhesive or FireStop 400 acrylic sealant.
