FIRE BARRIER/CAVITY BARRIER

FireSeal’s Fire Barrier is a simple and effective fire seal for eaves and cavities in facades, which counteracts the spread of fire and can also be used in areas where a ventilated air gap is required. Other uses of a similar nature where free ventilation is desired but should be closed in the event of fire.

Installing the band is a simple and quick process which in the end provides a very cost-effective solution. The product is stapled, screwed or nailed directly to the surface of the air gap and then allowed to expand.
The eaves band mainly consists of an intumescent graphite compound that expands considerably even at low temperatures. The graphite band expands to about 25 times its own thickness and can easily withstand unevenness in the air gap. The FireSeal eaves band is approved to be installed in openings of up to 50 mm.
The fire resistance is up to 60 minutes’ insulation and integrity in the event of fire. For correct installation, only 4 fixing points per meter are required. Several choices are available to facilitate the installation, attachment, screwing or nailing the eaves band along the middle of the top plate with a distance of maximum 250 mm, between each mounting bracket and maximum 125 mm from the edges

FireSeal’s Fire Barrier for the eaves and facade is delivered in the form of a 6.3 m roll and is cut to the right length with a knife.
