The most modern drill machines can be set to run a different speeds. It is therefore very important, as far as possible, to use the right speed to produce the best drilling result. High drill speeds do not give increased drilling power - only unnecessary wear on the bit when it runs hot. The same applies if the drill is worn. We then recommend sharpening the cutter or replacing the drill bit.
