ESSDECK MAX DECKING SCREW, A2

The screw is produced from stainless steel A2. Fitted with TX-drive/bits.The screw has a milling fuction in the start of the thread wich eliminates the need of pre-drilling (except for exotic wood types), it has an upper clamping thread which generates a high clamping force to help straighten up scewed boards. When mounted the clamping thread helps keeping the board in place allowing a smaller head design with the same or higher holding power than traditional decking screws.

The head of the screw is cylindrical with milling ribs undernieth, to make a nice splinter free countersunk finish. One advantage with cylindrical head is that it does not push the boards to split at the ends.

Area Of Use

ESSVE Decking screw ESSDECK Max intended for the installation of decking timber, fencing etc to wooden joists/beams. The screw has a larger diameter compared to our standard classic decking screw and is produced from the same high performance steel grade as our construction screws and ESSDRIVE wood screw, in order to handle applications with higher demands, such as big deckings, deckings in several levels and deckings that are exposed to more movements.

Decking screws of stainless steel grade are always recommended for very harsh environment such as marine environment, pool areas, etc.

Decking screws of stainless steel grade and pre-drilling are always recommended when installing teak-like decking timber such as Cumaru, Kirai and others as well as Siberian Larch
