FireSeal – a fireproof concept

Effective fire sealing can prevent the spread of fire, smoke, gas and water. It must also be able to withstand the tough conditions that in fires such as violent movements and vibrations in the sealed units.

The right fire sealing system

When we help our customers to find the fire sealing system that meets their needs, we ask them three questions:

-          What type lead-through do you need to seal?

-          What is the environment that the fire seal will be installed in?

-          How big is the hole that needs sealing?

Using the answers to these questions as the starting point we can easily identify the fire sealing solution that is safe and reliable.

Fire sealing system

Our wide range of market-leading products is carefully designed to meet our customers’ needs.

The products in our fire sealing system can be divided into four categories, based on the type of lead-through element:

1.       Cable lead-through

2.       Steel pipe lead-through

3.       Ventilation lead-through

4.       Plastic pipe lead-through

Within these four categories we have different types of fire sealing systems that are developed for quick and effective installation. One of our most popular systems, squeezer, is designed to seal both cables and plastic pipes. Kniparen has a coating on the inside that swells when heated, leading to an effective seal against fire, smoke and gas. Kniparen is easy to install and you can add and remove cables and plastic pipes even after installation.

Training

In order to ensure that our customers have the right qualification to implement safe and reliable fire sealing, we offer a training course combining theory and practice. On completion of the course you become a qualified fire sealing installation engineer.

We also offer all our resellers training in fire sealing through ESSVE Academy. The training courses are well-attended and appreciated by the participants.

Our systems are also subject to third party controls through the Technical Research Institute of Sweden (SP). SP visits our warehouse and undertakes spot checks on our products.
